Mothers, making money online could help you escape debt!
There was a time when I dreaded checking my account balance. I would shuffle through bills and quietly panic, wondering how everything was going to get paid. I was doing all the "right" things: working a full-time job, sticking to a budget, and trying to save, but no matter how I stretched my paycheck, it just was not enough.
Debt was this heavy shadow following me around. And let’s be honest: it is hard to focus on self-care or dream big when you are stressed about money every single day. I felt as if I was failing my kids. I should be able to meet their needs and let them live comfortably. This was not my reality.
One afternoon, I sat down with a calculator, looked at my bills, and cried. I felt defeated. I had been giving so much of myself to a job that left me drained, and I still could not make ends meet. That was the moment I knew I needed something more. I was not looking for a miracle; I just wanted a chance to breathe again.
Scrolling TikTok late one night (as we all do), I stumbled across a mom talking about how she was selling digital products online. Journals, planners, printables, things she created once and sold over and over. She said she was an affiliate for a community, making 80% affiliate commission each time she resells access. The community teaches multiple ways to make money online, provides mentorship, tech support, and live training sessions. In addition to that, she had access to hundreds of PLR products so she didn't even have to create digital products from scratch! It sounded too good to be true, but something about her story felt real. I saved the video, clicked the link in her bio, and started digging. I was amazed when I realized that over 30k people (men and women) from all over the world were a part of this community. What amazed me even more was that there were over 30 different ways to make money inside this community. All I needed to do was make a one-time payment, and I would have lifetime access! A few days later, I signed up.
I remember setting up my Beacons store and starting to promote DBA while I learned from the information inside. I promoted it with a few pins and a post on TikTok, and hoped for the best.
To my surprise, I made my first sale within a week. Then another. And another. The numbers weren’t huge at first, but it was consistent. More than that, it was mine, money I made without clocking in or answering to anyone.
That first $222 felt like a breakthrough. It reminded me that I was not stuck. I just needed a new path. I literally cried because I knew my life was about to be changed. And it did!
Once I saw that this worked, I leaned in. I created bundles, used Private Label Rights (PLR) products to create products of my own, and even started helping other moms who were just like me, overworked, tired, and ready to build something better.
I started creating books and self-publishing on Amazon, I started doing Drop-shipping on eBay, creating Canva designs for others, while still selling community access. Bit by bit, my debts were reducing, and I was happier. Over time, those sales added up. I used what I earned to pay off one credit card. Then another. And slowly, I started to breathe easier. In July of 2024, I quit my job and became my own boss. I had more time for my kids, no one dictated when I could use the restroom, eat, or take a nap. Best of all, I could provide for my kids the way I wanted.
This journey was not about quick money. It was about building something that gave me choices. It reminded me of my worth and helped me escape that constant state of financial stress.
